Well, I am filling in my UCAS form, a bit late, but there we are.. I wrote my personal statment last night whilst watching a program on thee history of Asian immigration to the UK. It (the TV show) was very good, and I found out some interesting things. It also got me thinking and I came up with a new phrase... Wait for it.. Web + Log = Blog, and so British + Asian = Basian!!!! What do you think? It could have been done before, but not bad, and not as offensive as other slang terms for people of Asian origin. I will post my personal statement at a future date. I thought that it wasn't that good, but Kaz and Ronald think it is.

Hello again, I should be doing my Human resources Coursework, but just can't get around to it. I have been out in Monmouth two nights in a row, on Thursday I went to see a French film, can't recall what it was called, about a woman who's little son dies, so her 'ill' mother (who stabbed her in the hand when she was little) stole a new son from some slums. I felt that it was hard to feel for the characters, and the middle third seemed a bit plodding, but overall not bad. I liked the way that the story followed a couple of characters, all of whom interacted, but did not necessarily realize it. I went to the pub later, and met up with Bobby (it was her 18th) and Robyn. Quite fun. I went out last night as well from about 8 until 10. It was Adams 18th, and I had a good discussion about gay marriage and adoption (both of which I am in favour of), with Joe, Robyn and Fern (whose 18th it was also). I think that in the next two decades there will be increasing acceptance, and within the next decade Gay marriage will be kosher in the UK. Well, I suppose it depends on who gets in in the next election. I want to try driving to Chepstow again today, but it may have to be on Sunday... Oh well I'll just have to get PC Gamer a bit later.

Hong Kong National Day!!!!!!!!! Just a few days after the mid autumn festival (Ronald promised to bring in some moon-cake for me to try, but he still hasn't. Ah well there we are. Sukkot started yesterday, but I don't celebrate it so did nothing. Dawn of War arrived on Tuesday, and I have been playing it in the evenings quite a lot. It's not bad, at least compared to other GW games, but the single player campain seems a bit short, and although there is a skirmish mode, it needs more single player stuff. Hopefully people will start to create mods for it, perhaps with a Chaos campain. Kieron Gillen has done a good review of it, you can find a link to it at his Blog ( www.gillen.blogspot.com ). I read it quite often, and it's rather good. Only just a win for Labour in the Hartlepool by-election ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/3705866.stm ), with Lib Dems in second place- not bad, considering that Lab. had a 14,000 vote lead. Tories were in forth place, so not all bad. However UKIP coming third... not good, but they are taking votes from the Tories, so that's good, as long as they don't become too powerful.
